Hydrosorb gel 5 tubes x 8 g

Description

Hydrosorb Gel

A medical device in the form of a sterile gel intended for auxiliary use in the treatment of superficial and deep wounds. The components of the drug ensure the preservation of the wound in a humid environment.
It does not contain polyethylene glycol.

Composition

Water with an electrolytic composition based on Ringer's solution, glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, cellulose and carbomer.

Package contents

The package contains 5 gel tubes of 8 g each.

Purpose of the product

For the treatment of dry wounds without exudate, as well as WOUNDS with weak exudate and partial loss of tissue thickness. It can be used to soften and moisturize necrotic tissues.

Indications

The drug is indicated for use in wounds such as:

bedsores,
venous ulcers of the legs,
ulcers on the diabetic foot,
first and second degree burns,
dermatitis resulting from urinary incontinence.
Product Features

The medical device, due to its properties, holds the wound in a moist environment and thus contributes to the healing process. Hydrosorb gel moisturizes dry necrotic tissue, facilitates the detachment of its dead part and absorbs scabs and secretions from poorly seeping wounds.

The method of application of the medical device

The wound should be rinsed with a sterile Ringer solution or other sterile solution suitable for this purpose. After that, the skin around the wound should be thoroughly dried.
Remove the sterile syringe from the blister pack and remove the protective cap.
Holding the tip of the syringe at some distance from the wound, cover the wound with about a 5 mm layer of gel.
Apply an appropriate secondary dressing to the wound.
Product Usage

To remove the Hydrosorb gel, rinse the wound with Ringer's solution or another sterile solution suitable for this purpose.
The frequency of changing the dressing depends on the condition of the wound.
The hydrosorb can remain on the wound for a maximum of 3 days. The hydrosorb should be changed if the secondary dressing is absorbed by secretions from the wound.

Contraindications and precautions

Before use, be sure to read the instructions for use or the label.
Do not use in case of allergy to any components of the product. In case of alarming symptoms or side effects, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
Do not use if the package has been previously opened or damaged.
Do not reuse it.
For outdoor use only.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store at room temperature. Protect from light and moisture.

Possible side effects of a medical device

At the beginning of the use of the drug, the wound may increase. This is due to the removal of irreversibly damaged skin and means that the healing process most often begins.
