Pharmacological action

Ibudilast is an anti—inflammatory and neuroprotective agent, acts as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, suppressing the PDE4 subtype to the greatest extent, but also demonstrating significant inhibition of other PDE subtypes.

Indications

Treatment of Multiple sclerosis, ALS, asthma, cerebrovascular diseases.

Method of administration and dosage

Orally.

Description

Cerebrovascular disorders: this medicine improves cerebrovascular disorder and relieves the subjective symptom of dizziness.

It is usually used to treat dizziness in chronic cerebrovascular accident caused by the effects of a cerebral infarction.

Bronchial asthma: this medicine suppresses inflammation of the respiratory tract, reducing the hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract.

It is usually used to treat bronchial asthma.

Composition and form of release

Dosage form: capsules (white cap, white body).

Method of application

Your dosage schedule should be prescribed by a doctor or drawn up by a medical professional.

General dosage regimen: for adults undergoing treatment for cerebrovascular disorders, take 1 capsule (10 mg of the active ingredient) 3 times a day. The dosage can be adjusted depending on your disease/age/symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of the doctor/pharmacist.

General dosage regimen: for adults undergoing treatment for bronchial asthma, take 1 capsule (10 mg of active ingredient) 2 times a day. Strictly follow the instructions of the doctor/pharmacist.

If you missed an appointment, take a dose as soon as possible. If it's almost time for the next dose (within 4 hours), skip the missed dose and continue with your usual dosing schedule. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

If you have taken too much of this medicine (more than indicated), consult your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine without doctor's instructions.

Warnings

Before using this medicine, be sure to inform your doctor and pharmacist.

If you have ever experienced an allergic reaction (itching, rash, etc.) to any medicine.

If you have had intracranial bleeding recently.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medications. (Some medications may interact to enhance or decrease the therapeutic effect. Beware of over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements, as well as other prescription medications.)

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the progressive loss of nerve cells that control motor functions.
