Indications for Use

Progynon Depot is used to treat:

- Amenorrhea (absence of menstruation)

- Menstrual cycle abnormalities (e.g., rare or frequent menstruation)

- Menstrual volume disorders (e.g., scanty or excessive bleeding)

- Dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation)

- Functional uterine bleeding

- Uterine hypoplasia (underdeveloped uterus)

- Ovarian deficiency symptoms

Method of Administration and Dosage

- Route: Intramuscular injection

- Dosage: 5–10 mg of estradiol valerate once every 1–4 weeks.

- Adjustment: Dosage may be adjusted based on symptoms and doctor's recommendation.

Warnings and Precautions

Contraindications

7. Undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding (risk of exacerbating endometrial cancer).

Pregnancy and Lactation

- Pregnancy: Contraindicated. Estrogens may harm the fetus.

- Lactation: Contraindicated. Estrogens can pass into breast milk and affect the infant.
