This medicine reduces intraocular pressure by reducing the production of watery moisture by blocking beta receptors. It is usually used to treat glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Method of application
Usually, 1 drop of 0.25% solution is used twice a day. If the effect is insufficient, apply 1 drop of 0.5% solution twice a day. This drug is a 0.5% solution. Strictly follow the doctor's instructions.
Instructions for use:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water before use.
- Gently pull back the lower eyelid and apply a drop of the drug. Make sure that the dropper tip does not touch your eyelid, eyelashes, or eye.
- After application, close your eyes and do not blink for 1-5 minutes. Apply light pressure to the tear ducts (located in the corners of the eyes) with your fingertips.
- Gently wipe off excess liquid with a clean gauze or cloth.
- If you are using other eye drops at the same time, wait at least 5 minutes between applications.
- If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying drops. Wait 5-10 minutes after applying the drops before reinserting the lenses.
Skipping a dose:
- If you missed a dose, apply it as soon as possible. If it's almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your usual schedule.
- Do not apply two doses at the same time.
Overdose:
If you accidentally apply more than prescribed, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Important:
- Do not stop using this drug unless your doctor gives such instructions.
Warnings
Before using this drug, be sure to inform your doctor and pharmacist:
- If you have previously had allergic reactions (itching, rash, etc.) to any medications or food.
- If you have the following diseases: bronchial asthma or a history of bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, sinus bradycardia, atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, right-sided heart failure due to pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis or diabetes mellitus.
- If you wear contact lenses.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- If you are taking any other medications. (Some medications may interact to enhance or weaken each other's effects. Pay attention to over-the-counter medications and dietary supplements, as well as other prescription drugs.)
**Possible adverse reactions to this medicine:**
- The most commonly reported adverse reactions include burning in the eyes (burning sensation, itching, or foreign body sensation). If you experience any of these symptoms, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
